Big tech must face ‘consequences’ for censorship

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, talks to FOX Business’ Stuart Varney on big tech companies and President Trump’s upcoming campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Have you ever been censored for posting your thoughts on social media?

I have. I actually just had to send in an appeal for a post on the Donald Trump Fan Club Facebook page for this very post…

For a few days it was marked as “partially fake” and when I read through the “fact-check” website that they cited as the reason for it, I confirmed what I had thought originally… that I was correct.

The fact-checking website stated that it was fake because the picture said “KKK grand master” and as you can see in the picture above, it says “KKK leader”.

Inside of the article there was a special headlined area that said “Byrd was not a KKK grand wizard — but he did once lead a chapter” so… it proved that the post was 100% accurate.

That’s good news, right? Yes. It is, but the bigger issue is the fact that they marked it as fake on the page without confirming. They also cut down the amount of people who would have possibly seen the post. That is known as the “reach” on the fan page.

That means that Facebook purposefully lied about the information being fake, and then didn’t show the post to people. I’m sensing that there will be some major lawsuits over this because many of us help pay our bills because of the content we create for our communities.
