PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS NOT BEEN ‘SILENT’

As White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany described this afternoon, the media has falsely described President Trump as “silent” in the face of the protests.

Among other examples, the Washington Post’s Phillip Rucker falsely tweeted, “As cities burned, Trump stayed silent,” the Associated Press misleadingly wrote President Trump has “made little effort to unify the country,” and ABC News falsely accused the President of “days of silence.”

The truth is that the President has “quite audibly [spoke] on this issue” on Saturday afternoon, during an address standing in solidarity with those protesting for justice while condemning the violence. The media, instead of doing their jobs, ignored President Trump’s comments like those below in favor of misleading headlines:

The media’s job is to accurately report what the President of the United States is saying to the nation in the middle of a crisis. The truth is that they are doing anything but that. They are actively trying to cause division instead of reporting accurately.
