I don’t know about you, but this makes me happy because of how much Robert De Niro has been attacking President Trump throughout his entire Presidency.
De Niro’s finances took a major blow that was revealed in court as his estranged wife asked for an emergency order to raise her monthly America Express card credit limit from $50,000 to $100,000.
The actor appeared on Skype as his wife’s lawyer told a judge that De Niro unfairly cut her monthly American Express allowance from $100,000 down to $50,000 and that their children were banned from an upstate compound where Robert was staying during COVID.
Robert’s lawyers said that he cut her limit because he’s taken a big financial hit as two of his investments struggled during the last few months. He’s got large stakes in both Nobu and Greenwich hotel.
De Niro’s lawyer, Caroline Krauss, told the judge that Nobu lost $3 million in April and another $1.87 million in May. And he had to pay investors $500,000 on a capital call, which he borrowed money from his business partners to make, “because he doesn’t have the cash,” Krauss said.
