There are a few things that really don’t make any sense about the war in Ukraine. While Russia is increasing its nuclear preparedness and western oil markets are struggling amid sanctions, President Biden closed yet another avenue for oil here in the U.S. over the weekend. Meanwhile, western countries have vowed to block certain Russian banks from SWIFT. But that comes with a potentially devastating catch for us too.
