The Daily Show, hosted by Trevor Noah for the past seven years, has been criticized for its liberal bias. A NewsBusters study found that from September 2015 to December 2022, Noah had 159 partisan guests on his show, with 137 of them, or 86.16%, being Democrats or affiliated with the Democratic Party. This has led to accusations that Comedy Central, the network that airs The Daily Show, has a leftist perspective.
Critics argue that Noah’s bias has made the show irrelevant and that he should have been replaced earlier, but identity politics prevented that from happening. Instead, the show has focused on progressive causes and has avoided inviting conservative guests.
